Formalization of the Nigerian Artisanal and Small-Scale Miners (ASMs) as Panacea to Curbing Revenue Losses to the Federation Account: Tin ASMs as a Case Study (2023)

In collaboration with the Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) and UNDP, ZCI led an initiative to formalize tin ASM operations. The project included policy advocacy meetings and a study on mining practices.

As a result, 120 artisanal miners were formally integrated into the mining sector, strengthening regulation and promoting responsible mining.
